Success, Failure and Passion

Here’s quite an entertaining and thought-provoking speech by Alain de Botton about Success…and our perceptions of this elusive concept.

Alain de Botton examines our ideas of success and failure — and questions the assumptions underlying these two judgments. Is success always earned? Is failure? He makes an eloquent, witty case to move beyond snobbery to find true pleasure in our work.

Thought for the day: Personally…I think success is all about passion. It’s about taking all that is good about us internally and making a difference externally. Do what makes you happy, live with a clear conscience…and find joy in the simple things life has to offer.

How do YOU define success?
